Since my last column, I am pleased to have followed in the footsteps of Ogmore politicians, Huw Irranca-Davies AM, Janice Gregory and Ray Powell in joining the Labour Whips office. I'm delighted to have the chance to serve and I’m looking forward to getting to work, especially as, in the coming months we have many key issues facing the UK Government including the Brexit negotiation, Child Poverty Bill and the Digital Economy Bill to debate (to name a few). MP Visits Coffee Mornings in Support of Macmillan Cancer Care

Chris Elmore MP enjoyed a morning away from the hustle and bustle of political life to support The Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Research around the constituency of Ogmore. The MP visited four coffee mornings in Cefn Cribwr Community Centre, Pit Pony Tondu, Ty Morfa Centre in Aberkenfig and Bassrocks Dry Cleaning Centre in Pencoed. Chris said: “All four coffee mornings were fantastic fun. There’s a real community spirit around these events and being able to raise money for charity is just a real bonus.
