Welsh Labour MP for Ogmore, Chris Elmore, has praised Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (OCD) based in his constituency for playing a leading role in responding to COVID-19. OCD is one of the key firms producing crucial antibody tests which will help to determine when an individual has previously had the virus. Chris Elmore MP last week urged the Government to offer more support to older people at risk from domestic abuse. Speaking in the House of Commons, Elmore highlighted figures from Age UK which show that one in four victims of recorded domestic murders are over the age of 60, with 280,000 people aged 60-74 experiencing some form of domestic abuse in England and Wales in 2019.
