MP Welcomes Paper Mills Long Term Plans

Ogmore MP Chris Elmore visited Northwood and Wepa Paper Mill this week in the Llynfi Valley. The Paper Mill, that makes toilet and kitchen paper, employs over two hundred in the plant and has a long-standing commitment to the Llynfi valley. The plant, that has seen £100m investment over the last twenty years.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“As a major employer in Ogmore, it was good to hear the companies long term plans for the Mill and their commitment to the area. I spoke to staff at the plant who are incredibly dedicated and proud of their work. The sheer scale of the operation is incredibly impressive. Thanks to Bob, Rob and Steve who took me around”.

The plant in Llangynwyd covers 75 acres, containing their paper machine and six converting lines. It has a water treatment plant that processes 4m gallons of water per day. It is one of the biggest in Europe.
