MP Opens Up About Being Bullied

November 21, 2016

The MP for Ogmore has opened up to fellow sufferers of bullying by recording a video saying he himself was bullied. This week is anti-bullying week and MrElmore spoke about his experiences of being bullied and how people should not suffer it alone.

In the video, posted to the Counselling Directory website, Mr Elmore says that it’s not unusual to be bullied, sadly. He advises that keeping bullying to yourself is not healthy and to share your worries with others.

The MP said “I hope by sharing my experience that I can spread awareness and if I help one person then it’s worth it. I’d like those being bullied feel they can come forward. If this video helps that, then great.”

Anti-bullying week ran from 14th to the 18th of November. The Counselling Directory have opened up a “wall of hope” with video messages to those who are being bullied and inviting everyone record a message answering the question “what would you say to someone being bullied right now?”.
