Every 10 seconds someone is having a potentially life-threatening asthma attack in the UK.
Asthma UK has released the figures adding that as many as three-quarters of asthmatics that cold air triggers their symptoms. Ogmore MP joined Asthma UK to launch their #scarfie campaign. The campaign is to promote wrapping a scarf loosely over your nose and mouth to warm up the air before you breathe. The simple tip could save the life of someone with asthma. Chris Elmore MP said: “we all know someone with asthma or, like myself, have asthma. This simple task can potentially save lives! I’m happy to promote this work from Asthma UK and I invite everyone to share their #scarfie on social media!” Last year Barbara Windsor shared her #scarfie, and this year Nick Ferrari and Anton DuBeck have joined our growing list of celebrities showing their support.
