Chris Elmore MP has a slammed Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond of ignoring Wales in the budget today again.
With no mention of the tidal lagoon, north Wales growth plan and no confirmation on the electrification of the rail line to Swansea, the Chancellor has come under fire.
Mr Elmore said: “The Tories’ economy is rigged in favour of a privileged few who aren’t paying their fair share. We’re in the slowest recovery since the 1920s and there’s nothing for Wales in the Government’s plans. The 0.3% budgetary increase is insulting.”
Since 2010 the Welsh Government’s budget has been cut by 8% in real terms.
