Superfast Broadband – MP and AM Promote new speed

Ogmore MP Chris Elmore and AM Huw Irranca-Davies recently joined the Welsh Government’s Superfast broadband team in Maesteg. The Welsh Government’s superfast scheme, which is available in the Bridgend county, means that the majority of people should have faster and reliable broadband. The Ogmore MP, Chris Elmore said: “With the majority of the local residents now having the ability to access the service, I was pleased to join the Welsh Government-run campaign who will showcase how superfast broadband is transforming the way people work, learn and connect with their families and friends.”

Huw Irranca-Davies AM said: “It’s fantastic that the Welsh Government are placing superfast broadband provision at the top of their agenda. It’s vitally important that our rural communities become better connected given that our day-to-day lives are becoming increasingly reliant upon the internet”. Most of the county now has faster broadband, a small percentage of households don't currently have access to it. Assistance, for them, is available on the Welsh Government website.
