Ogmore WASPI Campaigners Discuss Future Plans with MP

A coffee morning was recently hosted by Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, with local members of the Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) campaign.

The Ogmore MP met with key campaigners from the Ogmore constituency at Sarn Life Centre to discuss their future plans to further the campaign for state pension equality for women born in the 1950s.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“I’m proud to be Secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on State Pension Inequality for Women and I want to do all I can to seek action on this injustice from the UK Government. I’m keen to increase the number of women engaged with this issue at a local level so we can seek real, meaningful change in correcting this injustice.”

Mr Elmore is appealing to Ogmore constituents to contact his office if they think they may be affected by the changes to the state pension age for women.
