Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, visited Nantymoel Primary School last week to watch their remembrance assembly.
Pupils at the school recounted the events of World War I in front of their parents and the Ogmore MP.
Mr Elmore commented: “It’s really positive to see young people engaging with remembrance in this way. It’s vital that young people develop a clear understanding of the sacrifices made by so many of our armed forces in the past and, indeed, today.”
The local MP was then given a tour of the school by a group of Year 6 pupils.

Mr Elmore continued: “I’d like to thank Mrs Jones, all of the teaching and support staff and, of course, the pupils, for giving me such a warm welcome. Nantymoel Primary really is a fantastic school and I look forward to visiting again soon!”
