“No Place in Society” for Far-Right Groups says Local MP following Racist Letters

Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, on Monday claimed there is “no place in society” for far-right groups such as Britain First and the British National Party.

Mr Elmore’s comments came during an Urgent Question in the House of Commons, triggered after reports that Muslims across the UK have received threatening 'punish a Muslim' letters.

During the Parliamentary debate, Mr Elmore also announced that last month a different, letter was sent to his Parliamentary office containing a racist poem.

During the Urgent Question in the House of Commons, Mr Elmore said: “It’s quite clear that the whole House condemns these cowards for sending these letters … there should be no place in British society for political parties that peddle this hate.”
