Earlier this month I was grilled by pupils of Pencoed Primary. I was questioned by pupils of year 5 and 6 on topics ranging from Brexit to how many pets I have.
I joined the pupils last year as a part of their Parliament week studies so when I was asked to return for the Q&A this year, it was fantastic. I’ll be honest, I was more nervous than I am for most Parliamentary meetings, as you never know what you’ll be asked!
The pupils were so enthusiastic, it is such a fun part of the my role. The questions were challenging and some just brilliantly funny. Thanks to all the pupils and staff who welcomed me.
Pencoed Primary recently had a £9 million new school delivered by Bridgend County Borough Council and the Welsh Government and opened its new doors this term.
I was also welcomed by pupils and staff at Nantyffyllon Primary school earlier this month where I met staff and pupils of the school and was shown round by headteacher Mrs Goggin-Jones.
