Maesteg Legion Opens World War One Exhibition

Huw Irranca-Davies AM and I joined the British Legion in Maesteg this week for their World War One Exhibition. The Exhibition, which runs until November 15th in Maesteg Town Council, showcases some of the harrowing examples of the lives lost of residents of Maesteg.

It is a truly humbling exhibition about the individuals who fought in the war from Maesteg. Huge congratulation should go to all the volunteers who have worked tirelessly in putting the exhibition together. Huw Irranca-Davies AM felt it was a wonderful exhibition commemorating the 100-year anniversary since the First World War.

It is clear to us both that a lot of hard work has gone into producing a very interesting and humbling presentation depicting the human cost to families in and around the local area.

The exhibition is free to enter and has some medals, stories and pictures of what Maesteg was like during the war; as well as what the war was like for those from Maesteg. We both feel it is definitely worth a visit.
