Local MP, Chris Elmore, visited Llanharan Primary School last week to hold a question and answer session with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils about his role as their representative in Parliament.
With topics ranging from Brexit, to why MPs can’t clap in the House of Commons, to why MPs aren’t thrown out of the class like school children are when they misbehave, the Ogmore MP was certainly put through his paces by the group of students.
Chris Elmore MP said:
“In amongst all the Brexit chaos, it’s been a really refreshing end to the week to speak to this group of diligent and polite pupils who are a credit to Llanharan Primary School and their local community.”
Chris Elmore regularly visits schools across his Ogmore constituency and works closely with local Assembly Members, Huw Irranca-Davies, on strategies to improve the number of local opportunities available for young people.
Chris Elmore MP added:
“I’d like to thank the teachers and support staff at Llanharan Primary School for such a warm welcome and thank all of the pupils for asking such brilliant questions! I’m looking forward to seeing them all again soon.”
