Chris Elmore Quizzed By Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd Pupils In Parliament

Ogmore MP Chris Elmore has met with pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd during their visit to the UK Parliament’s Education Centre.

Following a tour of the Houses of Parliament and a lesson on the UK’s democratic processes, the group took part in a question and answer session with their local MP, who popped in between debates in the Commons.

With a wide range of questions asked from planning issues, Welsh language provision, and Brexit, the Ogmore MP was certainly put through his paces!

Speaking after meeting with the pupils, Chris Elmore MP said:

“It’s been an absolute delight to meet with this group of very talented and polite pupils today. It’s clear that they have a real passion for improving their local communities and it was great to see them engaging so closely with our political system.

“I’d like to thank all of the pupils for asking such brilliant and interesting questions and to their teachers for arranging this visit for them.”

Schools within Chris Elmore’s Ogmore constituency are eligible for a travel subsidy of up to 50 per cent when visiting Parliament. The Education Centre is also free for use and can be booked on a quarterly basis.

Chris Elmore is encouraging as many local schools as possible to visit Parliament. Anybody wanting further information as to how he can help facilitate this can contact his office by calling 01656 860034 or by emailing
