Ogmore MP, Chris Elmore, has praised the renovation of Nantymoel Boys and Girls Club and Community Centre at the building’s formal re-opening.
The refurbishment work now means that the centre will be used as a key hub for the local Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) as well as being a key venue for public hire for the surrounding communities.
Chris Elmore attended the event alongside local Assembly Member, Huw Irranca-Davies, and Bridgend County Borough Council Cabinet Members, who all remarked at the improvements which have been made to the building.
Speaking after the opening, Chris Elmore MP said:
“The Boys and Girls Club really is a pillar of the local community and it’s great to see this investment which will ensure the centre is fit-for-purpose long into the future. It really has had a radical transformation.
“I’d like to pay tribute to all of the volunteers who put in so much time and effort to run the Boys and Girls Club – the Ogmore Valley wouldn’t be the same without it!”
