Ogmore’s MP, Chris Elmore, has praised Curtain Up Youth Theatre’s production of Alice and Wonderland at Maesteg Town Hall.
The local theatre group performed twice on Saturday to packed out crowds, at what has become a diary highlight for the Ogmore MP.
Chris Elmore MP said:
“My first engagement when I was elected back in 2016 was a Curtain Up production and every year since they really do go from strength to strength.
“This year’s performance was nothing short of a spectacle. It’s clear that the talent onstage and off really is world-class and illustrates just why Maesteg is the cultural capital of south Wales.
“A huge congratulations to all of the performers, volunteers and Ruth and Sarah who do such incredible work with young people right across the Llynfi Valley.”
Curtain Up Youth Theatre was first established in 2000 and encourages local youngsters to get involved in amateur dramatics – something the valley is famous for.
