Ogmore’s rich local landscapes flood social media

Chris Elmore, Welsh Labour MP for Ogmore, has recently called on constituents to send in their favourite pictures of the natural landscapes across the Ogmore constituency so that they can be showcased online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

His intention is to share constituents’ favourite #ViewsFromOgmore with other local residents at a time when much of the local outstanding natural beauty cannot be enjoyed physically.

Chris’ inbox and social media feeds have been flooded with an array of brilliant images so far and he is currently encouraging more local residents to get in touch and share their favourite snaps.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“This is a really difficult time for us all. We all want to see friends, families, and loved ones and start to get back to our daily lives. It’s vital that we continue to follow the strict public health measures in place though and part of this means that we can’t go out walking far from our homes.

“I’m asking constituents to have a flick backwards through their phones or camera memory cards and share their favourite photos of our local area with me. The pictures we’ve had sent in so far have been fantastic – please do keep them coming!”

The current “stay at home” guidelines mean that people are only allowed to leave their homes for specific reasons. While one of these reasons includes daily exercise, this is limited to within walking distance of their home.

Ogmore constituents wishing to submit photographs should email them to chris.elmore.mp@parliament.uk.
