Local MP Updates Constituents on Maesteg Post Office

Ogmore MP Chris Elmore has reiterated his support for maintaining local post office services in Maesteg.

The Post Office have been advertising for a new permanent Postmaster for their Maesteg branch and have been engaging with local businesses to try and ensure that the provision of the local post office is maintained.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“Retaining the provision of local post office services in Maesteg is vital – not just to maintain the traditional Post Office services many local residents rely on, but also to ensure that constituents can continue to access key banking services. The closure of many high street bank branches has made this all the more important.

“Huw Irranca-Davies and I will be continuing to work closely with Post Office management and local residents to ensure that the town centre maintains a full and sustainable service in the future. We’d also like to encourage local residents who are interested to apply for the new postmaster role.”

The Post Office are advertising for the role and applicants can find more information on the role and how to apply here: https://tinyurl.com/y83w24lq.
