Ogmore MP calls on constituents to “buy local” as lockdown restrictions are eased

Welsh Labour MP for Ogmore, Chris Elmore, is calling on his constituents to take advantage of the “fantastic examples of local produce” available as lockdown restrictions begin to be eased in Wales.

Chris is asking Ogmore constituents to share examples of good quality, affordable produce that is being sold locally to support business owners across Bridgend and Rhondda Cynon Taf county boroughs. Chris intends to promote these examples through his social media feeds to encourage local residents to shop locally and support one another as coronavirus restrictions begin to be relaxed.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“The coronavirus pandemic has underlined the need for us all to make better use of the many amazing examples of high-quality produce available locally. As we start to enter the “new normal” in Wales, it’s vital that we do all we can to support our fantastic local businesses across Ogmore through what will inevitably be another very challenging period.

“If you know of a local supplier producing high-quality, affordable products, please get in touch with me and I’ll help to promote what they’re offering across our communities.

“The response to this terrible virus from local residents has been truly remarkable and I have no doubt that this will continue.”

Ogmore constituents can share their examples with Chris by emailing: chris.elmore.mp@parliament.uk.
