Local Welsh Labour MP, Chris Elmore, is calling on his constituents to take part in Welsh Labour’s Summer Survey to let him know their views on the public health and economic responses to COVID-19.
Parliament’s brief summer recess started this week and Chris will be continuing to raise issues and concerns on behalf of constituents as lockdown restrictions are further eased in Wales. The Ogmore MP is keen to hear what his constituents have to say on a variety of issues, including the public health messaging around the pandemic, the type of economic recovery local residents want to see, and where they believe investment and jobs support should be focused.
Chris Elmore MP said:
“This has been an incredibly difficult time for everyone. People have lost family members, many have lost their jobs, as well as having faced unprecedented disruption to their daily lives. Over the summer months, I want to hear from local residents from right across the constituency as to how we can ensure we build back better.”
People across Wales are being asked to fill in the survey to help inform Welsh Labour’s economic recovery plan. The survey can be accessed via: welshlabour.wales/yoursay.
“Listening to constituents is one of the most important aspects of my job and it is clear that many fragilities in our economy have been exposed by this pandemic. Local residents have been phenomenal in their response to the this deeply unsettling time – now I want to ensure that their voice is heard loudly and clearly as we continue to respond to COVID-19.”
