Chris Elmore MP is urging local residents to take advantage of the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme to support local restaurants and eateries across the Ogmore constituency.
The Eat Out to Help Out scheme will give customers a 50 per cent discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks up to a £10 discount per diner every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August.
Local residents can enter their postcode into the following website to find local outlets which are taking part in the scheme: gov.uk/guidance/get-a-discount-with-the-eat-out-to-help-out-scheme.
Chris Elmore MP said:
“Our restaurants and local cafes have been particularly hard hit by this pandemic, and I would urge all constituents to support our local businesses where they can. We need to get our economy moving again and support the local restaurants, shops, and businesses that are the backbone of our high streets and our communities.
“From speaking to many local businesses, I know the amount of effort that has gone in to making sure customers can eat within their premises as safely and comfortably as possible. Let’s make sure we show them our support as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.”
Chris Elmore has been supporting local shops and businesses by promoting the produce they offer through his social media feeds since lockdown restrictions began to be eased in Wales. He is going to continue doing this throughout the summer months.
“We have some truly fantastic local businesses in and around the Ogmore constituency, and I am pleased to see renewed interest among the community in supporting our local shops and other retailers. Over the summer I am looking forward to being able to get out and about to visit some more of our great local businesses. If you’d like me to promote what your business has on offer, please get in touch!”
Local businesses who would like Chris to promote the products and services they have on offer via Chris’ social media feeds should send details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
