Chris Elmore, MP for Ogmore, has hailed Keir Starmer’s vision for the nation as the Labour Leader spoken to the nation in this week’s virtual Conference speech.
Although the Labour Party Conference could not go ahead this year because of the Coronavirus pandemic, this week saw Labour Connected take place, with the Labour movement coming together online to enjoy four days of speeches, training, rallies, and policy discussions.
On Tuesday, Keir Starmer spoke to the virtual conference - and to the country - about his vision for Britain to be the “best place to grow up in and the best place to grow old in” as he vowed that Labour will be the party of opportunity, family and security.
Chris Elmore MP said:
“Keir Starmer’s first conference speech as Labour Leader put forward a positive vision of what our country could - and should - be.
“He was clear - as he has been since he first stood as Leader - that he has a compelling vision for Wales, and for the whole of the UK
“At a time when the Prime Minister is ducking accountability, Keir has shown what a critical role an effective and responsible opposition has to play. Under his leadership, Labour will be the party of opportunity, family and security.”
