“We need to maintain social distancing in the run-up to Christmas” – Chris Elmore MP

Ogmore MP Chris Elmore is calling on constituents to continue to follow the rules around social distancing as we approach the Christmas period.

Although different measures regarding travel and mixing with other households will be in place for five days over Christmas itself, it's vital that in the run up to the holiday we reduce our contact with others as much as possible in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

Chris Elmore MP said:

“This is going to be a very different Christmas for many of us. Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to enjoy the usual festive treats – Christmas markets, enjoying a mulled wine at a party, or visiting all of our friends and family.

“But by following the guidance and sticking to the rules we will protect our most vulnerable friends and family. Our community has done some fantastic things to bring happiness and support to others during the pandemic and I am confident that this will continue over the festive period. As always, if you need help or support, my office is there to help on the phone on 01656 860 034 or via email at chris.elmore.mp@parliament.mp.”
